My Dad once told me a wise quote I will never forget he said "True friends are like diamonds precious and rare, false friends are like diamond leaves found everywhere"
I wouldn't say my dad was some personal development guru or into motivational quotes too much but every now and then usually out of the blue many wise words would flow out from my Dad's mouth.
He is soo right that true friends are like diamonds precious and rare! They are harder to find, where as false friends are easy to find because they are like autumn leaves that are found everywhere. Well I guess if it is autumn does help ;-) otherwise i guess they are hard to find too ;-) But i think you get my drift :-)
So what does it take to become a really True friend that is like a diamond precious and rare?
Too be honest - I think if you are really honest with yourself and look within you will know already if you are a True friend!
A True Friend is someone who loves you for you! they accept you for being your complete self - flaws and all, bumps and bruises ;-) they genuinly just care for you and would do anything to help you out if your going through a hard time in life. A true friend is someone who never gossips about you behind your back, never lies, is always honest and loyal to you. A True friend builds you up - they are someone who leaves a profit in your life because they bring out the best in you and other people, they believe in you, encourage you to follow your hearts desires and wildest dreams and you can talk to them about anything. True friends give as much as they receive, they listen more than they speak, compliment you on your successes, and in general are just postive people that fill your life with happiness and richness.
On the other hand if your a false friend - then you probably are the reverse of the traits above, and you also will know this in your heart.
This blog is not here to condeem you if you know in your heart your not a true friend, but to recognise if there are any areas you need to work on then I guess I am suggesting that you decide to change for yourself and for the greater good - Because the world need less autunm leaves floating around especially if it isn't even Autumn yet ;-) if u get my drift :-)
What the world does need is more Diamonds in the world who are precious and rare and you will also find that as you become a Diamond or if you already are one which I am hoping :-) that your life will be filled with much love peace and happiness, because the law of attraction says Like attracts like - and the more you are a true friend the more likely you will attract more True friends into your life and circle of influence - Before you know it everything you see in your life is a diamond :-) and the Autumn leaves will disappear :-)
