Just a couple week ago I decided to do something out of my comfort zone and spontanious. So booked in for a Bungy Jump off the Auckland harbour bridge! WOW what an amazing experience! Talk about a Huggggee Adrenaline Rush. Even thinking about it a few weeks later gives me butterflies everytime I think about the free fall feeling! yehaaahh :-)
So I was thinking when people talk about just taking a leap of "Faith" Bungy Jumping is definately one way :-). When was the last time you lived life on the edge a little? Took a leap of faith into the unknown? I don't neccessarily mean going bungy jumping as it's definately not everyones cup of tea :-)
but just doing something that is out of your comfort zone, something that may even scare you deep down, but you knew if you did it you would feel WOW!
It is when we step out on the edge and take few leaps of faith in life - is when we discover our real inner strength and unleash the power within us. When you live a life of faith you are not living in fear!
There are 2 main emotions humans tend to live in - Fear or faith! Both very powerful and strong influences. Fear can be very paralysizing to us - and unfortunately most of us tend to live in a lot of fear. On the other hand there is "Faith" which overcomes fear. We were not created to live in fear but a life of Faith!
When I took the big jump off the Auckland Harbour Bridge - I had a lot of fear initially I mean can you blame me? just the thought of jumping off a bridge head first into the water with only a rope tied to your ankles could trigger a little fear don't you think? ;-) hehe. But then I realised how awesome it would be to face my fears because I would rather be an overcomer to "Feel the fear and do it anyway" rather than living in fear of the unknown and never taking any risks in life! Because what I have discovered in life is that when you overcome your fears whether big or small they are usually your biggest breakthroughs in life and the most exhiliarating and WOW experiences you will never forget. "Life is either a daring adventure of nothing at all" When I took the leap of faith and jumped off the Harbour bridge - the few seconds free fall from the top of the bridge to the bottom touching my hands in the water was soo very unbelievably WOW! I couldn't wipe the grin off my face for days :-) It is in those few moments that remind me once again what life is all about!
When we are at the end of our lives we are not going to remember every single detail of the life we lived, but what we will remember is the magical moments that we captured along the way. My wish for you is that your life will be filled with magical moments and WOW experiences by taking leaps of faith by breaking through fear and living a life a little on the edge filled with adventure, fun, joy, bliss and freedom. Freedom only comes when you are no longer trapped in fear and allowing yourself to live the life of dreams based on your terms.

Developing your Character
If you died tomorrow will you be remembered as someone who portrayed excellent Character? Someone who was a shining light in everyones lives? That everywhere you went and everyone you came into contact with you left a profit in peoples lives. You would be known as a person of love, integrity, kindness, joy, humble, non judgemental, accepting and would put a smile on peoples face even if they just heard your name :-)
If you would answer no to these questions then maybe it's time to look at your character and the type of person you are becoming and if this is who you want to be remembered for.
The Bible says in Galations 5:33-23
"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control"
When we are living from the fruit of the spirit our character will naturally be strengthened. Because your character can be determined by the way you treat people who have nothing to offer you.
ie: How do you treat the checkout person at the supermarket? The toilet cleaners? The fast food operators?
Do you treat them the same as you would treat the people in your life that only offer you something you want? or do you not really think twice about them and more concerned about yourself and own needs?
What if you treated everyone that you came into contact with as if they were your best friend? Do you think that might change things? What does this mean? Well you could become the type of person who lights up the room when you walk in, not just when you leave! How do I do this? well it doesn't have to be hard, all you have to do is genuienly care about people by taking massive interest in them!!! not yourself but them! Too often we are soo much in our own heads that we constantly have "I" on our minds, thats we dont even think about taking time out to really notice others because we are too wrapped up in ourselves.
To change this habit next time your at ie: the grocery store make it a goal to find out about the checkout girl/guy and become genuinly interested in them like they were your friend already. All you have to do is acknowledge them, smile, and ask great questions and open ended questions are the best ie: So tell me about you? or whats been the highlight of your week? this forces them out of just the yes or no answer. You may even find commonality with them, this is excellent way of building rapport and building relationships fast as people are attracted to people who are like them or share similar interests. The law of the universe "Like attracts like"
Another way you can be rememebered is by giving them a compliment - but be genuine about it of course :-) You will soon notice people loooovvve talking about themselves, and when you become a master listener people will just begin opening up to you more and more because they will sense you care. Before you know it you will have made a friend for life, and every time you go back into the grocery store they will remember you.
an example of a great role model who showed excellent character and humility was Jesus. When Jesus walked the earth - He was the shining light in the lives of everyone he came into contact with.
Just his presence would bring healing to people without saying a word! Because who he was on the inside was a reflected on the outside of him.
Jesus had the fruit of the spirit inside him, he was love, he was peace & joy, he was patient, he was humble, he has meekness, faithfulness, and self control"
& this was shown by everyone he came into contact with. Everyone he met he showed love, he was accepting, and never judged, he took a gunuine interest in people, and through this he brought healing into peoples lives, gave them hope, faith, & brought them out of the darkness and into the light.
I think more of us need to be a similar example of Jesus - by developing our character but also humility. What does humility mean? "To not think less of ourselves but to think of ourselves less"
Why dont we talk less and listen more, and genuinly care, understand and accept everyone as they are, and for who they are. To become majorly interested in other people we come into contact with - and not just those who can offer us something.
If you work more on yourself, & your character than you do on your career, life etc, you will be a greater success! because it all starts with you and what's inside - because what is on the inside will naturally flow on the outside.
Become a person who adds massive value to others! To be remembered everywhere you go because you are the "Shining light" in peoples lives! There are soo many people in this world, who are depressed, unhappy, lonely, feel worthless, lack confidence, feeling like no one cares, and you could be the only light that they see that day that makes the difference!
There's a quote I like it's "Walk into darkness to relight the candle that has burnt out in someone Else's world... then, you will learn the true meaning of life."
I am not saying that everyone you meet is going through a dark times in their life, that is not always the case, but you just never know the power of how one person can change the lives of soo many others by just being the shining light wherever you go.
"Be the change you wish to see in the world"

If your happy & you know it clap your hands!
Are you a really happy person? or do you struggle to keep positive each day and wonder what on earth this life is all about?
I have been asking myself the question lately, what makes someone really happy the majority of the time? I mean we all know a few people in our lives that no matter what is going on around them, every time you see them they have a big smile on their face, they are cheerful, bubbly & have a glow about them. They seem soo full of life, energy, and enthusiasm. Nothing really seems to ever bother them too much of not for very long in that case.
Then on the other hand - we know people who find every day a mission. Life becomes a chore, nothing really excites them in life, they can be quite negative, and pessimistic.
Sooo what makes the difference between a happy & unhappy person?
Well I was thinking and over the years have observed in my own journey and also in other peoples lives that Happy people do and think in a certain way that depressed & unhappy people don't. The following are a few ideas I have observed.
1.) Happy people usually have a Compelling Vision! What does this mean ur asking? Well even the Bible says in Proverbs 29:18 "Where there is not Vision the people perish" Happy people tend to have a vision bigger than themselves! It is what they live and breathe for each day! It's like their purpose for life. Something that excites them, It is the fuel that ignites the fire in them towards their passion and dreams. They have a career that they love, and enjoy! they are living out their life purpose. They follow their own path of happiness and dreams by following their heart - rather than doing anything because of what anyone else wants them to do.
Unhappy people - tend to be lacking vision! purpose, passion! They don't have a clear vision for what they are here on earth to become. They usually stuck in a Job which stands for (just over broke) They don't really enjoy, but stay there because it's paying just enough money to pay their bills each week and maybe a few dollars left over to party in the weekend. They live week to week, paycheck to paycheck. Or if they do have a career that makes them good money etc it could be that they are living the career that is not really in alignment with their lifes purpose or passion, in some cases they are living their parents dreams or passion. This is not always the case, but can definately seem to happen. If this relates to you then my advice is to always follow your own path - for yourself and no one else. Because if you dont you will never be truly happy.
2.) Happy people have a Positive Attitude! they usually very optimistic. They think good thoughts, they are focused on their future, and dont dwell too much at all on their past. They know that the past doesn't equal their future, and you can't change it so why dwell on it any more. They are focused on the present and the future.
Unhappy people - can be very negative and pessimistic about everything. They seem to dwell alot in their past, the bad stuff that happened to them that they think is the reason to stay unhappy today. Which is not the case at all. They find it hard to let go of the past and stuff that happend to them, they can hold onto alot of anger, unforgiveneess, resentment, and many other negative feelings, and tend to use their past as an excuse to why they can ever be happy now. They play the role of the Victim! While in this state of mind - and holding onto all these negative emotions they will find it very hard to feel happy and move on. This is why it is soo important to let go of the past, and all these negative emotions because they are not good for you, your body and your state of mind.
3.) Happy people - Love themselves! Not inlove with themselves, but love who they are, they accept themselves exactly the way God made them. They do things that make them feel happy, alive and energized. They feed themselves good stuff to nourish their bodys, minds and spirits. Ie: They eat healthy foods most of the time, because they know the importance of good health, and exercise regulary which is very good for longevity, good health, releasing endorphins and many other benefits. Happy people also tend to feed their minds with positive things, whether it be reading personal growth books, to hanging out with other positive people & they feed their spirits by taking time out for themselves, whether that be self reflection, going to the beach, meditation, yoga, church, and many other ways that connects them with the fullness of who they are. They usually are very well balanced in all 3 areas of the body, mind and spirit.
Unhappy people usually very out of balance and intouch with either 1 or all 3 areas of the body, mind and spirits. Unhappy people dont always seem to really like themselves. they can have low self esteem, confidence and belief in themselvs, and contantly battling with who they are, wishing they were someone else, or had the life of someone else.
I have listed 3 main ideas that I have observed in happy & unhappy people.
Also in my own journey in life, I sure know what it was like to be very unhappy and unfulfilled. I use to be very out of balance in my life emotionally, physically and spiritually. I would be a people pleaser, and living my life from what other people wanted me to do and be. I guess being quite a sensitive person, I always wanted to keep everyone happy, but what I learnt the hard way was that - no matter what you can't and never will please everyone, and you are the most important person in YOUR life because your the only one you have to live with the rest of your life 24/7. So you have to always follow your own happiness, your own path, listen and follow your heart and always stay true to yourself. Becaue If your being your true authentic self and really embrace and accept the person God has made you then your going to naturally be alot happier person, life will flow, you will attract great things and great people into your life. You will find your lifes purpose because you will be lead to it when your in that state of flow.
So to conclude a few final notes to summarise everything.
- Make sure you have a compelling vision! that is bigger than yourself that excites, motivated and would give you ultimate fulfilment in life. This perhaps is your life purpose! & if you dont yet know what it is or don't have one, then my advice would be to take some time out this week for yourself go the beach, or wherever you feel fresh and inspired, maybe even take a journal and write down any ideas or thoughts that come to your mind. Firstly you may want to ask your higher self whatever you may call it - The universe/God, etc to help you with this. Sometimes a good question to ask is not always "what do I want? But what does life/God/The universe want from me? We all are called for a special purpose in life you just have to find it within what it is :-)
- Keep your attitude positive - Stay optimistic about life and the future, love life and life will love you back! you will aways attract whatever you focus on this is the law of attraction. So stay focused on the present moment and the future and release the past once and for all, and remember the past doesn't equal the future.
and last but not least - Love and accept yourself as you are! Embrace who you are to the fullest!
Always be an original! Dont die a copy!
Feed your body mind and spirit with great nutrients, oxygen, and positive things. Stay well balanced!
Peace & Love
